The first auction (renamed)
Kneeling in the position the slave trader told her was called "nadu", and waiting for her turn to be auctioned, the blonde girl caressed the wound on her thigh. She had been branded. Branded, like cattle. She still couldn't believe it. It was a whole new world of pain she thought would never end. The hissing of the iron, the smell of her burning flesh, the utter humiliation. It was when she was branded that she finally allowed herself to cry.
There were a handful of other girls. One by one, they were taken to the auction block. Waiting to be sold was torture. She wanted it to be over.

Re: The first auction (renamed)
"Now!" Cried the slave trader, "This here is a fine Kajira, exotic, straight from the Slave Planet itself! Fresh, just barely branded, she has never been in the arms of another Master before! A mysterious past, and enticing hair! Who will be the first to take her!?"

Re: The first auction (renamed)
Many people started to bid for her, excited seeing her pale skin and hair. However, one stood out against all the rest. A young, tall man, held out his hand as he called out the price he would pay for her. He didn't seem very strong, but he seemed to also be loaded. In the end, she was sold to him. He walked up the stairs, and signed off on a paper, before taking a hold of her collar, and walking down the stairs with her.
Re: The first auction (renamed)
She tripped on the stairs trying to keep up with the man. She wanted to ask where he was taking her, but she remembered the salve trader and was afraid Are all men like him? I suppose I don't want to take any risks.
Re: The first auction (renamed)
He didn't help her up, but he didn't yell at her either. Some of the men laughed, thinking it odd that he would have punished her for her her clumsiness. However, he kept on going. Some glared at him; They weren't going to just let him get away with that slave that they wanted and DESERVED. So, they started to stalk.
Re: The first auction (renamed)
Why hasn't he said anything? She was used to the constant chatter on Earth. No, she heard chatter here, too. What bothered her was not being spoken to herself. She held her breath and gathered up her courage to speak to the man who just purchased her.
"May I speak?"
"May I speak?"
Re: The first auction (renamed)
He looked to her, and nodded, before turning around and walking again. They soon got to what looked like a large, peyote house. He walked up the stairs, and opened the door for the kajira, looking around in case anybody was following.
Re: The first auction (renamed)
"Just sir is good." Once the closed the door, and locked it up TIGHT, he called up the stairs. "JAEL!" Down the stairs came a man just a little bit older than the slave master. "Take her to the room I've set up." He then turned back to look at her. "I hope everything will be in order for you. If you need anything, write it down, and I'll come up and check on it." He seemed... different from the other men at the block.
Re: The first auction (renamed)
It was a pleasant suprise, really. "Thank you, Sir." She was prepared for... well, she didn't know what, but it certainly wasn't this! Her anxiety started subsiding. Maybe I can lie down for a little while, or maybe take a shower. I wonder if they even have showers here? I hope they have tiolets. They must, don't they? Yes, she was starting to relax.
Re: The first auction (renamed)
The man smiled at the girl, and then at Jael, for a little bit longer, even. However, what the room she was sent to wasn't like what she would have probably hoped. There was a single window outside, bared, and a lining of furs on the ground, a bed. There was also a pot in the corner, an earth red in color. There was also a wooden bucket, and a table with some perfumes.
Re: The first auction (renamed)
The disappointment must have shown on her face for a split second, but she tried to smile. She wasn't exactly in a position to be picky.
"I see you prefer the minimalist approach here. No nick-nacks lying around that just need to be dusted."
Once she was alone in the room, she took a better look around. She fingered one of the perfume bottles, and took a sniff. It was a bit stronger than what she normally wore. She walked to the window, but saw nothing that interested her outside. She sat down on the furs and took a breath and held it. Slowly, she let it out. She curled up on the furs and tried to sleep.

Re: The first auction (renamed)
Jael sighed. "Yes... I know this must be different from your usual earth life... however, technology, or even knowledge in general, is not allowed on Gor... besides, things have been hard on the Master..." He sighed, and started to leave, but before he closed the door behind him, he said, "Oh wait... quick rule... there are more, but this is one that should be said right away... after the sun goes down, you are to stay in your room, no matter what...." After that he closed the door behind him.
A few hours later, about 4 or 5, there was a strange noise outside... sounding like it was coming from one of the rooms down the hallway.

Re: The first auction (renamed)
She her head perked up. "What was that? Jael, was that you?... Sir?" Her voice was so meek it didn't penetrate the walls of her room. She tip-toed her way to the door, but changed her mind halfway. Judgng by the way the men were acting, she thought they would prefer it if she stayed hidden. She didn't want to displease her new master on the first day, but she didn't want to be alone, either. I wish Jael or Sir was here. Her pulse quickened and she wrapped her arms around her torso and slid down the wall to her furs. I don't think I like it here.
Re: The first auction (renamed)
Suddenly, there was a scratching on the floor. It didn't sound very huge... in fact, it sounded like the scratcher was at a little bit below knee level. The sounds were still coming out from the hallway, but this definitely wasn't the one making them.
Re: The first auction (renamed)
Sounds like a cat. I feel so silly! She walked back to the door and bent down in anticipation to pet the kitty as she opened the door.
Re: The first auction (renamed)
(( ... Are you a mind reader, or something? XD Guess she doesn't fall for the old horror trick, where they first get scared by something, but it turns out to be either a prank, or, in this case, a cat. *thought it would scare your character, but this works well too* ))
And sure enough, it was indeed a cat. It black fur, and copper coloured eyes. The cat had a collar slightly too big around it's neck, but it didn't seem to mind much. There was no identification on the collar, however. The cat seemed wary, but also very curious about who was in here now. They smelt of her old home.

Re: The first auction (renamed)
She picked up the cat and nuzzled it. "Awww, you're so cute! what's your name? Huh? What's your name. Mine is... Well, one of the girls at the auction told me my new master would give me a name, but my old name was Diana." The cat started to pull away, so she let it go and stood by the door and let the cat play the In-Or-Out game.
Re: The first auction (renamed)
Indeed the cat pulled away. It was terrified! It was all it could do to keep from biting the girl. It wasn't because it was a bad cat, just that it wasn't used to being handled by strangers. It quickly ran outside of the room... before quickly marking a railing (And yep, it's a boy) . Whoever they were, they'd better keep on their toes! This was HIS territory, not... not theirs!
Re: The first auction (renamed)
"Ew... I don't envy whoever has to clean that up." She shut the door and turned to face her room. "I guess I could try to go back to sleep. I'm not very tired, though." She sat back down on the furs and tried to run her fingers through hair to get the knots out. "Ninety-nine bottles of beer on the wall, ninety-nine bottles of beer..."
Re: The first auction (renamed)
Thankfully, the rest of the night was uneventful. Even the strange noises soon disappeared into the night. A little bit after the sun rose once more, there was a knock at the door.
Re: The first auction (renamed)
"Hmm...?" She rubbed the sleep out of her eyes. "Coming!" She stumbled her way across the room, yawned, and opened the door.
Re: The first auction (renamed)
There was Jael and Sir at the door. They looked a tad exhausted. "Hey... if you're tired, come with us... I'm sure you don't know how to make any of it yet, so Jael here is going to fix it... but watch and learn because after today, you're going to be doing the cooking and cleaning from now on, OK?"
Re: The first auction (renamed)
"Oh!" She quickly tied her hair in a loose knot at the nape of her neck so it would be out of her way and stretched her body as well as she could as she followed the men down the hall. So they brought me here to be a maid? Jobs Goreans won't do, I guess.
Re: The first auction (renamed)
First, they went to a room on the other side of the hall from where they were, and Sir carefully slid in, being sure to not make a peep as he did so. He closed the door behind him, but a strange smell wafted out of the room. Almost like incense. After a little bit, he slowly walked out. "I must admit, I have a lot of rules, but believe me when I tell you that they are very reasonable. Please... never go into that room, even while cleaning up. Even Jael is not to be in there. It is not something you would want to do." With that, he walked the girl downstairs to a room with several stone tables. There is a pot over what looks a lot like a primitive fireplace... Jael got to work setting firewood that was nearby, and putting it in carefully, starting with the small sticks, and then putting in larger and larger pieces. After that, he started to get the fire started using flint and another stone.
