The girl was never very fond of camping, so she'd never cooked over an open fire before. She didn't even have a gas stove! It was fascinating to watch Jael cook, but she didn't relish the idea of learning to cook over fire herself. Over the next few days she would learn some basic dishes and Sir's general food preferences. Cleaning should be easy enough. The men didn't seem to be very messy people. She believed warm, soapy water should suffice for most of the house, if not all of it.

One day, after leaving to buy some food for tonight's meals, he came home, almost skipping. He set the bag (which looked somewhat like burlap, only darker in color) on the table in the kitchen, and set for the ice box, trying not to sing out even. Jael came into the room, and blinked. "Why are you so happy today, Sir?" He grinned, and hugged Jael tight. "I've got an interview for a job tomorrow!" The male slave couldn't help but smile. "I'm glad... we'll finally have an income, and won't have to live off of your father's wealth much longer..."

The girl was on hands and knees, scrubbing furiously at the wall "Damn that cat! Spraying all over the place! Of course they don't neuter the male cats around here. If that cat was a girl... If that cat was a girl she'd be the one cleaning this up, probably wearing a collar that matches the one I'm wearing!" She paused for a moment and held a deep breath, then let if out focusing on relaxing her muscles. "How did this happen? I just- just let it happen!" She closed her eyes and exhaled again. This is her life now, and Sir is a lot easier to work for than that office manager. "Now that I think about it, I haven't seen Sir all day."

And the moment the magic words were spoken, he pretty much skipped up the stairs and hugged her, (( By the way, I forget your Character's name. Embarassed )) swinging her slightly like a child, before setter her down, and continuing to his room. Jael sighed, and walked up the stairs. "I'm sorry about him, miss... he's just excited because he finally has an interview for a job..." He smiled. "I haven't seen him this happy in a while..." He checked to see if there was a mess the other made, and quickly helped to clean it up. "You may want to stay out of his room for a while..." With that, he went into the same room Sir had just gone in.

Her heart fluttered and she could feel herself blushing when Sir set her down. She couldn't wipe the grin off her face.

"Oh! Jael, there's no need to apologize! Really! I'm just happy to see him so happy. I've never seen him so... happy before."

She had meant to thank Jael for helping her clean up, but she couldn't help wondering why he warned her to stay out of Sir's room. Well, I guess I can't ask him if there are any clothes he wants washed.

(( Oh dear... I feel so sorry for her now... ._.; I'm not going to say what's going on outright (that would be too easy), but let me just say this; There are few good men. Most are either... and I'll let you fill in the blanks. ))

After a little bit, there was a loud THUD sound, coming from sir's room, as if something huge hit the wall very hard. There were a few more strange sounds, just like the ones from the first night Diana had spent in the home.

Diana dropped the laundry basket.

"Oh my God! It sounds like they're fighting!" She went running toward Sir's room. "Sir? Jael? Are you guys all right?" Diana threw open the door without thinking and saw something so shocking the image would be burned in her mind, and she would see in her dreams for months to come.

She froze. "Uh... Um... I thought... I heard a noise and.... Um..." She ran back down the hall, screaming the words, "I'M SORRY!"

She crouched in a corner as far away as she could get from Sir's room. "Oh, my God, omigod, omigod, omigod, Oh my God! They were, and he was, and him, and they... and omigod, omigod!"

Diana gasped, and her eyes were as big as saucers. "I just barged into Sir's room without permission! I'm going to get such a beating!"

(( I can't believe how quickly you got it! Shocked Either you ARE a mind reader, or I'm just too predicable... ))

Both Jael and Sir stared at her, not scared, but instead completely frightened... frightened over what she had seen. After about several hours, Jael knocked very gently on the door, before asking, in a soft voice. "May.... may I come in..?" It was very soft, much more than usual, and there was still a hint of fear, though it was obviously being covered up.

Sir was not with him. Instead, he was in his room, rocking back and forth, knowing what has happened; A power shift. She now knew a secret that threatened everyone in the household; he would have to be very careful, because one mistake... he didn't want to even ENTERTAIN the idea of what would come.

After she finished her chores for the day, Diana went to her room to think about how she would apologize. There was a knock at the door. "Come in." Her voice was meek. No matter who was on the other side of that door, she didn't want to see him.

Jael entered. She couldn't look him in the face. "Do you think it's safe for me to apologze?"

(( Actually, it's kind of a flaw of mine when making male characters. I don't know how it happens but they always end up gay! Every single time! XD Or at the very least, bi. Laughing ))

Slowly, Jael went down to the furs, and sat down. He was very quiet, hardly saying anything, before apologizing softly. "I.... I'm sorry you had to see that, Diana..." It was the first time he had ever called him by name... but he couldn't before. Slaves didn't say other slaves names, as they were all equal as slaves, neither better, nor worse. But this was different. She had power now. Almost as much as his Master's own mother.

"What.... what are you going to do now?"

"Now?" Diana turned her head in his direction. "I just told you. I'm going to go apologize for barging in his room." Her voice was a bit stronger than before. She wasn't sure why just yet, but she felt the dynamics change.

Diana knelt at her Master's door. She decided to come to him naked, as she was when she first came to him. She hoped to prey on his emotions. She wasn't so far away from Earth that she wouldn't try to manipulate a man to get her way. She still wasn't very strong with her Gorean. When he was in a good mood he allowed her to slip English words into her speech. She didn't want to take that chance tonight. She knew he wouldn't be in a good mood, so she ran through her apology in her mind one last time.

Diana knocked twice and put her forehead to the ground, her hands on the floor at either side of her head, in anticipation of his answering. Translated into English, it sounded something like, "This slave girl very sorry forgetting her place open your door. Please forgive." She would have liked something more eloquent, that explains that she acted the way she did out of concern for him, and that she would never have interrupted such a private moment if she had know that was what was going on. After she said her piece, she held her breath and waited for permission to sit up.

There wasn't much manipulation to do... he was just glad she wasn't in there threatening him to let her go, or some other horrid thing like that, under the penalty of that secret being let out. And it was a good thing she didn't even accidentally slip into English... he had little understanding of the word, and being so upset, it had almost completely disappeared. He was quiet, the whole time, listening to her. He didn't show his eyes to her. After a while, he finally said. "Don't tell anyone what you saw in there... for the sake of everyone in this household, including yourself... don't say a word about it to anyone..."

Compared to most Gorean Masters, he was almost a sissy. He had never hit Diana, or Jael (Well, in Jael's case, that was unless he wanted it.) He hadn't had a lot of parties, having to keep a careful watch on his income (After all, he was living off of what his father had left for him), and didn't ask much of the Kajira. Finally, he never touched her... well, not in that special way. Though, he never even had any reason to. He didn't LIKE her like that... she was more a less a maid, paid for with a roof over her head, food, and more freedom than most Kajira even dreamed of.

An experienced kajira would find his behavior odd, and possibly neglectful, and this situatuin scandalous. Diana still didn't know the realities of Gor. Perhaps that's precisely why he chose an untrained barbarian from Earth for a slave?

Diana looked at him with some confusion. "Of course not, Sir." Who would she tell? And why?

Diana bowed her head once more before turning to leave. She felt relieved. There was no punishment! I guess he understood it was just an accident. It will be awkward for a few days, but I hope it'll all blow over. In her minds eye she saw them again, and her face turned bright red.

She stopped and turned back to face him. "What?"

Did he just ask me...? Is this some kind of test? No, he wouldn't bother with something silly like that.

"Well, I'd like something cute like pet or kitten, but it's only special if it comes from you. It's not special if someone calls you something just because they told you to. But I guess I'm just being emotional. Women are emotional, men are logical. Oops! I'm rambling! I'm sorry!"

He looked very confused at this point. " It... this isn't a test, you know. I just want to know what name you would like to be called." He looked to his fur bed. "If it will calm you, I will tell you my name... that is, if you wish to know..."

He looked down, and sighed. "It... it's Nehayat..." he did not like his name... he hardly ever used it if need be. Most called him sir; Jael got him a nickname of Nefes, which meant breath. Jael had wanted the nickname to reflect the life the other had given him, unlike his actual name, which meant Final, or end. The one and only son and child of both his mother and father.
